Update!

I have really neglected my blog for quite a while. I think a little update is in order...

My last semester of school was harsh! I took 18 credits and it about did me in. I was bogged down with homework and it was extremely stressful. I don't think I will take that many credits at once ever again. At the beginning of the fall semester last year, the advising center told me I had about three semesters left to complete before I could graduate and move on to a University. Well, they messed up and it really was about four semesters. I technically have enough credit hours (plus some extras) to graduate, but I have not finished the requirements for any major. So I will be at CSI at least another year, possible longer.

Mike is still busy as ever working for Coke. His new position requires him to do a lot of different things. He runs routes when the drivers call in sick or are on vacation, he helps the other drivers finish their days if they are running behind, and basically anything else one of his supervisors tell him to do. Pretty soon he will be training as a salesmen, which is the next step up from where he is at right now.

Summer has of course been super busy too. I am taking two classes, which is full time for the summer. This Friday I have my finals!! Its nice to get done with a class in half the time but there is a lot more homework to be done too. Between my classes and Mike working, we really haven't enjoyed the good weather as much as we would like too.

My cousin is moving to Twin in August to attend CSI. We are very close, as she is the closest thing I have to a sister. I helped her find a roommate and get her classes set up for the fall semester. It is going to be great to have her around. She has been in Connecticut since February and she is currently getting ready to go to China, to meet her boyfriends parents. But I am very excited that she is going to be in Twin!!

We are still working on getting sealed. We have an appointment with the Stake President this next Sunday and hopefully we will know more after that. We are going through the temple prep classes again. This is the third time for the both of us, but its interesting to have different teachers perspectives. We are also taking them to offer support to another couple, so they didn't have to go through the class alone.

Both of us got new callings in Church. I got called to the nursery in April and I absolutely love it! My kids are great!! Mike works in the primary with the Valiant 12 class. He enjoys it there too. In June we were asked to speak in sacrament. It was very nerve wrecking, considering that I absolutely hate public speaking of any kind. Both of us were asked to speak on conversion to the gospel, which was the perfect topic for me!
